NIGHT WATCH LOG — OFFICER A. REEVE — 12 NOV 1986
22:00 On post. All doors secure. Cameras 1-9 normal.
23:00 All doors secure. Cameras 1-9 normal.
22:40 Cam 8 (ward) loses picture. Not a fault — the picture goes, the sync
stays. Somebody has put a cap on the lens.
22:50 Went down. Ward door held. Card reader shows no entry since 21:55.
Someone is in there and the door says nobody went in.
23:00 Reported to Directorate. Told it is a maintenance test.
23:10 There is no maintenance scheduled. I keep the schedule.
23:40 Dr Kessler came through Security asking me to open the ward. I said I
need Directorate authorisation. He said he knew. He apologised to me.
He apologised to ME.
00:15 Power dip, whole building, four seconds. Ward circuit did not dip.
00:20 Ward circuit is not on my board. I have worked here six years.
01:05 Records clerk still on site. Told her to go home. She said no.
Good.
02:00 Everything quiet. I do not like it quiet.
03:30 Cam 8 picture comes back on its own. Ward is empty. Beds are made.
Beds were NOT made at 21:55, I have the tape.
04:10 Front vestibule turnstile registers an entry. Nobody came past me.
04:19
[The 04:19 entry is a time and nothing else. The pen is still clipped to
the board. The next thirty-one lines on the sheet are blank and the sheet
was never turned over.]
